Awesome!
While not the hardest group I have ever seen, Johnny Blue Skies still manages to pull off a lengthy set of tunes and a healthy dose of fog and light show to put you in a great mood. You also have to love a lead singer who loves to play with the crowd and encourages them to sing along.
I can't even remember the name of the first group, but you have to wonder who organizes what bands open up for certain groups. The amount of energy they had definitely earned them a bit more respect than a 30-minute 1st act. The pipes on that lead singer = wow.
I could not believe the absolute amount of FAIL Safetysuit brought to the show. They have nothing original, nothing memorable.... And neither of these bands have the same sound...or really could be put in the same "genre" listing as Johnny Blue Skies...
